How to “Build Your Own List”

Naturally, when you first get started in your MLM business, your first mission is to get start building your downline. You begin with the MLM company’s 1-2-3- Quick Start marketing strategy and start with prospecting people and signing up people in your business. WIth most MLM company I am sure that you have a replicated website where you would refer your prospect to sign up with your MLM program. Again, who has access to your downline’s contact information. Yes! Your MLM company! Remember your prospect list is your working capital.
So, say that your were able to build a downline of 1000 people and something happens to your MLM company, or say you did something that would immediately get your membership terminated. Now, What would happen to your downline contact information? Yes, it will now become your MLM company’s list. Unfortunately, not having your list is said to be “leaving money on the table”. Not many Network Marketers takes this serious.
If you are in business, or marketing online you must begin with the basic in starting to “Build Your List”. Don’t be too eager to build that grand “downline” before you do the basic. For too often, people get involve in Internet Marketing and fail to understand the fundamental of having their own list.
How to get Started building your List?
A list is your working capital, it consist of people’s name, email address and phone numbers. This way depending on your niche, if you have a new product or services you can easily send an email to people on your email list informing them of the new products that you are offering.
1. The first thing that you need to do is “Stop sending your Leads to your MLM company’s website”, create your own website, or blog and add valuable contents to the website within your niche market. The information that you provide must be information that your niche market cannot find elsewhere and in their eyes, you are their saving grace.
2. Secondly, you will need to have an “opt-in” form on your website that will allow visitors to receive FREE resources, e-book and training that will assist in their mission is becoming successful. Once they have opt in, then you now have their name and email address where you can stay in touch with them.
3. Third key in building your own list is to set up an “autoresponder“, that would automatically communicate with your list by sending out emails of value. You are now on the way of building a sound relationship with your email list. Get the picture! I hope so…
4. After receiving about 5-10 emails from you with some form of value, then your list begin to paint a picture of who you are. Your mission is to build relationship with your list! Sending valuable emails will position “you” as a Leader.
5. As you continue to “build your list” you can begin to share “affiliate program” that allows you to “monetize” from your list. Because they know and trust you they would begin to buy from you and this is when you will to make money.
6. As your list grows, people will want to do joint ventures because your list is so big they would pay you to market their product.
This is where the bucks begins to knock on your door!!
